EMTECH has already developed a portfolio of automation units, smart sensors and operation management software, offering the required intelligence in the domain of Substation Automation Systems. The Greek Transmission System Operator (ADMIE S.A.) has been using our iReact product line to achieve energy savings, capacity increase and voltage regulation. Today electricity generation, transmission and distribution actors are asked to maintain a flexible but always-balanced grid for clean, efficient and secure energy supply. For these objectives, we are developing state-of-the-art Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) to provide system operators with the ability to further integrate renewables, electric vehicles and other resources towards a citizen-centric electricity grid.

Real-Time Decision Support Systems
using multi-disciplinary co-simulation.

Modern systems become increasingly complex both in terms of the hardware and software. This is especially true for monitor-and-control applications in all scales which require semi- or fully-autonomous operations with little or no human input. EMTech provides FusiX, a flexible and versatile framework for developing state-of-the-art real-time Decision Support Systems (DSS). Based on data abstraction, it seamlessly integrates heterogeneous systems and services into complex applications. FusiX provides full autonomous orchestration, with scheduling and synchronization mechanism and other common DSS utilities natively, as well as high-level complex simulation support for running predictions and what-if scenarios. FusiX applications are highly distributable and cloud-ready.

Manufacturers with products falling within the scope of the European Directives for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Radio Equipment (RED) and Low Voltage (LVD) must follow conformity assessment procedures. Compliance with the directives is a demanding and time-consuming process. EMTECH helps manufacturers to define the appropriate compliance strategy for EMC and Electrical Safety, depending on the product type, time to market and resources.

By having extensive experience in certification procedures, EMTECH analyses all applicable regulations and provide a set of pre-design technical requirements. In addition, EMTECH provides guidance and executes all necessary processes to prove product compliance, including laboratory EMC and Safety testing, technical documentation preparation, risk assessments and product design reviews. In all cases, EMTECH undertakes to prepare all necessary Technical Documentation to prove Product Compliance.


Internal Body Temperature Measurement
for early warning and cancer detection.

EMTECH aims at the realization of a low-cost device that is able to visualize in 3D the human body’s internal temperature and detect malignant tumours. Based on microwave radiometer technology, the innovation of the proposed methodology is found on a compact, multi-frequency approach, using an ultra-wideband microwave antenna, enabling the possibility to represent the retrieved information both in 2-D and 3-D visualizations. By acquiring the in-depth temperatures for several predefined spatial spots of the human body part under examination, we have measurements relevant to 3-axis (x and y for spatial spots, and z for depth), thus being able to visualize the 3D temperature distribution, using mathematical modelling and computational methods.
