Space Expo 2021-Germany
November 2021
Bremen, Germany
EMTech participated in this year’s Europe’s meeting regarding space business, technology, and innovation, Space Expo EU. While being the only Greek company having a booth in this great international space event, not only we managed to accomplish our goals, but also actively demonstrated that Greece has the potential to make a dynamic entrance in European space industry. Despite the Covid-19 difficulties EMTech managed to be represented by all three entities, from Greece, Cyprus, and Germany.

EMTech traveled to Bremen, the city of aerospace excellence, and Space Tech Expo Europe, the continent’s major dedicated supply-chain and engineering event for manufacturing, design, test and engineering services for spacecraft, subsystems, and space-qualified components.
Space Tech exhibition is Europe’s premier B2B Space engineering event for spacecraft, satellite, launch vehicle and space related technologies and draws attendance from thousands of industry leaders, decision makers, and engineers to meet manufacturers and the supply chain for civil, and commercial space. During this three-days event, several speeches, conferences and B2Bs took place. EMTech had the opportunity to host on our booth technical discussions, get informed about the state-of-the-art space technologies and share its insight on the future challenges of the upcoming space missions. At Space Tech Expo 2021 we featured our innovative AC/DC magnetic measurement & modelling solutions, our competencies on the Independent Software Verification & Validation (ISVV) of critical safety software and our qualified services in Spacecraft Simulators & Ground Segment Software.

Following the exhibition days, it became more apparent, that as new ventures spanning from private launch opportunities, small satellite constellations, sustainability, de-orbiting, and multi-asset space exploration missions become more common, a revolution is taking place demanding to reinvent the traditional supply chains. Towards this direction, technological trends such as Artificial Intelligence, Autonomy in Operations, Cyber-Security, Virtual/Augmented Reality and many more, have been the main buzzwords heard across the exhibition halls.
EMTech is very excited to be part of such a growing and impactful industry with multiple applications and effects in the everyday life as space industry. Having as our primary goal to offer added value to our clients and bring innovative solutions to the market, we have been working on these technological challenges that will enable the realization of the future missions since 2009.
Mrs Georgia Soulioti, Managing Director, representing EMTech GmbH comments:
“For EMTech this was a unique opportunity to meet providers of innovative technologies, reinforce its existing relationships as well as identify new opportunities for evolution and joint ventures. It is our pleasure to be present in such events and we are hopeful for more to come in the future.”
Our mission is innovation
In the context of space innovation, EMTECH and partners are extending the SIMULUS infrastructure in order to support a) multi-asset simulations within a single environment and b) specialized needs for rovers and other assets in terms of environmental and dynamical conditions. Today, EMTech team is working on SIMROB activity, a study performed for the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) to enable the Simulation of Human Robotic Operations on the SIMULUS suite that ESA uses as the baseline for all Satellite Operational Simulators. The aforementioned lead to disruptive innovations that can enable an already proven and robust platform to confidently address future challenges and new business models.
Moreover, having already successfully provided ISVV services on the flight software of DPU and RIME instruments for the JUICE mission, the company is about two kick-off two more ISVV activities early next year; one for CRISTAL mission and one for the Sample Transfer Arm (STA) of the Mars Sample Return (MSR) mission.
Our strategy is to transform all the valuable inputs and knowledge received during the exhibition into long term partnerships and strategic alliances for the creation of powerful solutions that meet the new space era.
Excellence is our habit.
EMTech is a group of SME companies (in Greece, Germany and Cyprus) interested in research and development for innovative products and high-tech services. Starting from cutting-edge projects, our aim is to prototype competitive products and develop innovative services in order to offer added value to our clients and bring innovative solutions to the market.
Our vision is to become internationally recognized as a versatile technology boutique. EMTech is built upon a culture of respect, honesty, teamwork, and a philosophy that ensures the provision of value and quality in every task we perform.
EMTech always following its culture and ethics, we strongly believe in our mottos. Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly.“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Aristotle
