EMTech Smart Grids

24.05.2018 – Athens, Greece

EMTech smart-grids business unit, provides a substation automation product line – namely the iReact, targeting intelligent capacitor bank management, OLTC position sensing and extended measuring. Recently our portfolio has been enhanced by a state-of-the-art Distributed Energy Resources Management System (DERMS) called iDERgridy in order to address upcoming challenges of distribution grids and rising microgrids.

Our innovation has been recognized by the European Innovation Council’s Pilot housing now Horizon2020’s SME Instrument and as a grant awardee, we have been benefiting from a series of business support services in order to promote our value proposition to business relevant stakeholders.

In the 9th of May, we had the opportunity to pitch in the Iberdrola Company Day, amongst 15 companies. Mr. Nikolaos-Antonios Livanos – Managing Director, was also given the chance to have informal conversations, to get a deeper insight on Iberdrola’s current challenges and consolidate business opportunities plus to attend an exclusive networking event in the previous day.

Mr. Nikolaos-Antonios Livanos made the following statement:

The European Union’s goals and directives for clean, secure and efficient energy benefit the member states and the European Innovation Council’s Pilot supports top-class innovators, entrepreneurs, small companies and scientists with bright ideas and the ambition to scale up internationally. Within this context, the EIC’s support in our company’s efforts to reach the global market of energy transmission and distribution has been instrumental and we are proud to represent the Greek potential in innovation and entrepreneurship. During the African Utility Week we glanced at the vast landscape of offered opportunities to those that will dare invest and reap high rewards. We are excited to follow through the generated leads and re-iterate our business strategy after assessing the latest developments in the African market.
